  • G.I. Joe: some post-movie thoughts

I remember consciously making the effort to NOT check RottenTomatoes.com (which I always go to before I see a film) before watching G.I. Joe, because I was scared that the review would be so low that it would deter me away from the theaters. Usually critic sites aren't that nice to action flicks.

HOWEVER, I really, really, really thoroughly enjoyed G.I. Joe. I don't even think I had a moment for a breather since the action was close to nonstop. And then, after I came back home, I checked Rotten Tomatoes and the score was a meager 31%

Seriously now. G.I. Joe is NOT Schindler's List. Don't go into the movie and expect to come out with some greater understanding of life. You will NOT have an epiphany. Sometimes, this is a good thing.

    Directions:

    1. Don't look at critic sites

    2. Drive to theater, buy ticket

    3. Spend $10+ on popcorn, hotdogs, and a soda

    4. ENJOY YOURSELF. ENJOY THE MOVIE.
